MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Safety
  • Demonstrate personal commitment regarding safety and environmental and social responsibility practices.
  • Adhere to agreed procedures, and controls.

People
  • Contribute to creating and maintaining a culture of excellence and service delivery, ensuring collaboration with various stakeholders.
  • Serve as a trusted HR advisor, offering guidance and support to both employees and business leaders on HR matters.
  • Support initiatives aimed at building a strong organizational culture, fostering alignment, enhancing employee engagement, and promoting team ownership and accountability.

Operating discipline
  • Collaborate with line leaders and department heads to develop and implement Departmental People Plans that align with business goals.
  • Design and execute comprehensive people solutions to meet the immediate and long-term needs of the organization.
  • Ensure HR processes comply with industry regulations, legislation, and company policies, coordinating with legal and administrative specialists as needed.
  • Manage the onboarding, probation, and offboarding processes, ensuring efficient and compliant HR practices.
  • Work closely with Talent & Learning Specialists to implement tailored training and development plans for each department.
  • Support Organizational design by participating in work and job design, updating job descriptions and support effective management of change
  • Support the effective utilization and maintenance of the HR Information System (HRIS), promoting employee self-service where applicable.
  • Support the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date employee records, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements for time and leave management.
  • Identify opportunities for streamlining and enhancing HR processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Implement continuous improvement methodologies to minimize waste and optimize service delivery.
  • Establish regular feedback channels with employees to gather insights on HR processes and the overall employee experience.
  • Utilize feedback to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance HR services and employee satisfaction.
  • Support effective performance management in allocated departments including the Performance Improvement Process.
  • Handle employee relations and grievance processes ensuring compliance with applicable labour laws.
  • Develop departmental recruitment plans and partner with Recruitment partner to ensure operation staffing requirements are met as planned.


PROFESSIONAL AND GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in HR or related field, legal employee relations.
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience including building, aligning, and implementing HR programs and processes to business strategy.
  • Proven understanding of all HR disciplines including organizational development, employee relations, talent planning and acquisition, learning and development, and compensation.

Technical Capabilities
  • Understanding of labor law in various jurisdictions that Adriatic Metals operates. Able to understand, interpret and apply.
  • Superuser in selected HRIS
  • Change Management – understand the process and supporting techniques in effectively facilitate change in the business.
  • Proficient in HR processes supporting the employee life cycle.
  • Proficient in Talent and Learning processes.

Required knowledge and experience
  • Proven work experience as an HR advisor, HR consultant or similar role.
  • Ability to advise and work with all levels of staff.
  • Knowledge of employment legislation.
  • Personable with strong communication and relationship building capabilities across all levels
  • of the business.
  • Ability to implement company policies and procedures.
  • Driven and resilient.
  • Practical and logical; able to solve problems quickly.
